WA: Perth man pleads guilty to online child sex offences
The first man charged under Western Australia's new cyber predator laws will be sentenced
next week.
55-year-old GEORGE SINGARAYAR has admitted he tried to coax a policewoman .. posing
online as a 12 year old girl .. into sex .. by giving her specific instructions .. and
sending her child porn.
He could spend up to ten years in prison .. after pleading guilty in the West Australian
District Court to charges laid under the new laws .. which allow police to pose as children
and trawl internet chat rooms.
When he was arrested .. SINGARAYAR was on bail on other child pornography charges.
